She is a mother, a wife, a friend, a sister, and most importantly…a daughter of the most High Priest.

I cannot express fully with words what an encouragment this woman is to me. As I write this, there are tears streaming down my face because of the blessing she is to me.

I thank God for you Brook Smoak.  The way you love your children, the way you trust that God will provide, the way you dont give up on people, the way you fight for people in prayer, and your overall humble spirit..it all is a reflection of Jesus Christ Brook. I am so thankful for you my sister, my friend.

I am currently student teaching 3rd grade and its awesome. You really never know what you’re going to get with 3rd graders. I believe at the end of this semester I could write a book. I’m not going to…but it would be hilarious if I did. My full time student teaching will be over in 8 school days. Then two more weeks of school and I am finished with my fall semester. Crazy right?! I have one more semester of college..this my friends..blows my mind. Every time i’m on campus I feel like I should be walking back to Patterson; my freshman dorm. I know people always say college flies by..but it really does. I graduate in 7 months. Almost a big girl.

God has been teaching me all kind of things. How incredible is it that He choses to mature us…discipline us…santify us…love us. Praise God for his love and mercy. God has been laying on my heart what it looks like to really surrender all to him. Its so easy to say..yeah..of course I would give everything up for the sake of the Gospel. But really..would you? Would I? Would you be willing to leave your family,  leave the comfort of your home, leave the comfort of knowing where your next meal is coming from, leave the comfort of knowing you are safe? Would you be willing to give up everything for the sake of the Gospel? God is revealing the things I hold dear in this world. He has patiently been teaching me what it means to be abandoned to him. To give up everything for him. To want and desire to live for his glory and his glory alone. I’ve got a lot to learn and a lot of maturing to do. Praise God that His Spirit is the one at work..and that no matter what I do..I cant mess up his plan. I want to be obedient. I want to keep in step with Holy Spirit. So yeah..praise God. He is good..he is the only good living in this wicked body of mine.

O and the Lord has so been showing me how important community is and how blessed I am to have the sisters he has so graciously put in my life!! I am so loved and encouraged by them. Walking through life with them is just so great. So great! I dont thank my God enough for them. I love you girls..you know who you are. (i dont really think any of them even read my blog..but here’s some thanks to them anways)

More to come later. Stayed after school to write this…but now i’m ready to peace out of this mug. Off to seminar then international night. whoop whoop!

Did I tell you guys I had a boyfriend? I like him. Wait….what? Am I not allowed to say that on my blog? Pshh. O well…its my blog.

Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the least followers of Christ. Accurate, regularly updated ethnic people group information is critical for understanding and completing the Great Commission. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Jesus directly links His return to the fulfillment of the Great Commission. While no one knows the date or time of His return, we do know that this gospel of the kingdom must be preached to all the nations first. Revelation 5:9 and 7:9-10 show that there will be some from every tribe, tongue, nation and people before the Throne.
